Lyrics

We're going on a weekend getaway
Rental cabinas, short walk to the coast
The souvenir shop was once a gas station
Overstocked with merchandise, but nothing to buy

Daddy takes the sloop to the marina
He learned the slip knot that summer in Guam
Momma don't sail cause she gets the motion sickness
She sits with her novel sipping bourbon and tea

Sun and the sand
Competition is grand
A game of zero sum
Towels on the beach
Vague plans to mean
Hey! Hey! Is she coming or what?

They're serving endless shrimp at sunset on the pier
They've got a karaoke mic for those who drink too much
Momma don't sing but she's got the locomotion
When the tables are cleared, the wives are impressed
